Harvard University is investigating a possible data theft incident. According to the institution, a critical vulnerability in Oracle software that affects numerous customers may have been exploited.

Cyber criminals have stolen personal information from customers of luxury brands Gucci, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen. The parent company Kering confirms the incident and speaks of “limited” customer data.

Following the large-scale attack on Salesforce customers via the Salesloft Drift interface, Proofpoint, SpyCloud, Tanium and Tenable have now also confirmed data losses. The attack is said to have affected more than 700 companies in total.

The tire manufacturer Bridgestone is struggling with the effects of a cyberattack on its production sites. However, the company is confident that it has stopped the attack early enough.

The largest cyber security company by market capitalization, Palo Alto Networks, has also been affected by the large-scale supply chain attack on Salesforce systems and confirms a data leak.
