Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang benefits from Nvidia’s success story as the graphics chip giant reaches new financial heights.
The head of the graphics chip giant can look forward to a considerable salary increase. Jensen Huang, co-founder, President and CEO of the GPU market leader, received total remuneration of USD 49,866,251 for the financial year 2025 (ending January 26) – an increase of 45% compared to the previous year. The salary package includes a base salary of USD 1.486 million (50% more than in the previous year), share bonuses of USD 38.81 million, USD 6 million from the over-the-counter remuneration plan and other remuneration of USD 3.57 million.
Fantastic business figures
The remuneration reflects Nvidia’s impressive business development: turnover increased by 114 percent to 130.5 billion US dollars compared to the previous year, while the operating result grew by 147 percent to 81.5 billion US dollars. Net profit recorded an increase of 145 percent to 72.88 billion US dollars.
Nvidia is currently in an extremely advantageous market position, selling GPUs to a data center industry that is booming with AI training and inference. Whether this trend continues depends in part on whether enterprise customers continue to purchase AI services or licenses.
Compared to CEOs of other tech companies with weaker performance, the salary package seems understandable for some – less so for others. The average total salary of an employee at Nvidia was 301,233 US dollars. The ratio between CEO compensation and median employee salary was therefore 166:1.
