Merging complementary technologies

Veeam offers solutions for backup, disaster recovery, and data management in virtual, physical, and cloud environments. According to the company, it serves more than 550,000 customers worldwide. Securiti AI, on the other hand, specializes in Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) and helps organizations comply with global data privacy regulations, automate data security, and manage risks in multi-cloud and decentralized data environments.

Through the merger of the two companies, Veeam aims to “eliminate the challenge of managing fragmented data across apps, clouds, SaaS applications, endpoints, and backups.”

Rehan Jalil, founder and CEO of Securiti AI, is expected to join Veeam as President of Security and AI following the completion of the transaction, which is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.

Data as the foundation for AI initiatives

“We have entered a new era of data,” stated Anand Eswaran, CEO of Veeam. “It’s no longer just about protecting data from cyber threats and unforeseen disasters, but also about identifying all data and ensuring it is managed and trustworthy to operate AI transparently.”

Eswaran emphasized that lack of data governance is the most critical factor in failed AI initiatives. “By combining the market-leading strengths of Veeam and Securiti AI, we are uniting these capabilities in a single solution to help customers understand, secure, recover, reset, and leverage their data to generate new business value.”
