The popular investment app Trade Republic is currently experiencing significant technical problems. According to Downdetector, over 8,000 malfunction reports had already been received from users by 9 a.m. this morning, in Germany alone. This unusually high number of reports indicates a widespread failure of the platform.
Numerous users report difficulties logging into the app, while others are unable to carry out transactions or are not shown any current price data. The outage coincides with a phase of strong market turbulence with significant price losses.
However, the exact cause of the technical problems is not yet known. Trade Republic has not yet officially commented on the outages. No statement has been published on the company website or via the official social media channels.
