Bitdefender takes over Mesh Security

Bitdefender, a provider of cyber security solutions, has entered into an agreement to acquire Mesh Security Limited (Mesh). Mesh Security is a provider of email security solutions.

The acquisition integrates Mesh’s email security technology and capabilities into Bitdefender’s Extended Detection and Response (XDR) platform and Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services.

Mesh takes a two-tiered approach to email security, combining perimetric protection via a Secure Email Gateway (SEG) with mailbox-level defense through API-based delivery. This model extends visibility into threat activity across all vectors and provides high quality telemetry data for Bitdefender’s global threat intelligence network.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
